Well I really enjoyed my stay at India House. While it is definately different, I found it cheap, lots of fun, and very friendly. I recommend it as long as you understand hostelling, sharing nad partying. Hi to John, thanx for the airport ride :-)|

Hello all! Just checking out the old India House site! Thanks for letting me know it's been "revamped." I had some good times and a great many lessons in life at the ol' India House. I send hello and love to: Reid, John, Mark, Tom and Rudy (I miss those big bear hugs btw)- and to Heidi, Eve, Kera Lee, Paul, Helen, Rashi, Leslie, Claire, any of the beautiful Irish girls whom I cannot spell their names correctly and won't do the dishonor of doing so (you know which ones you were.The city of sin, stench, and bitter sweet simplicity- I miss you. I'm glad India House was my temporary home. I miss it, so keep in touch ok??

Ummmmm, Hey! I still live in New Orleans!!! Just wanted to thank everyone there who helped me out and made me feel so welcome to this town.

Greetings to my old friends!! John, Mark, Tom, Rudy...and so many who are no longer there. I think of all of you often. My time at the India House was probably one of the best times in my life. I just wanted to say hello, and let you all know that I'm getting married next year. You are all invited, so be watching the mail in coming months! I hope that everyone is well.

Excellent place. We had a blast and what a relief after being stuck in a Summer Camp. Loved the Bayou Shack. All we can say is anyone in BUNAC etc would love this fun place. Be adventerous. We may try to come back for Mardi Gras. Hi to Reid and Rudy.

We loved India House even though we were a bit naughty with our pool antics but the Austrian (Rudy) kept us in line, we recommend India House, if you wana chill and party. We were supposed to be in New Orleans for one night and it turned into five! have fun we did xxx.

Bloody marvelous place. What in the world was I missing before this place ? Never knew such a cool interesting place could exist. It ain't The Ritz, and really is for the seasoned Backpacker. Truely reminds me of the hostels in Oz.

Hey guys,Nice to see that the guestbook is up and running again.I stayed for Jazz Fest in 2001, great company. It was my first-time hostelling experience and I wil never blow $$s on a hotel again! I was that goofy chick from San Francisco with the unrelenting telephoto lens! Hey Bonnie, if you're reading this from NYC, I still have some pictures I never got to send you! Thanks to John (did you guys ever get that stack of pictures I sent?), Tom, Rudy, Reid, Heather and Shannon and Julie who all worked the desk, and were wayyy tolerant of me constantly taking my camera out of the vault and putting it back in! I just got back from Scotland recently, met an Australian girl who'd worked/stayed in the India House about ten years ago. Damn small world, eh? Wonders never cease...

Happy Holloween staff... if only I could have afforded to stay, but here I am, cold. I'll send a postcard when X-Mas hits so you can see the snow, the misery, the walk-ups and such. Tomorrow's a 'look for work' day, I hope Reed's cool w/ being a reference, because I have to account for doing nothing the entire summer.
