Message: India House was definitely the cherry on top of our spectacular trip to NOLA. The entire place oozed with character and the staff were all extremely friendly and very accommodating. Although I've stayed at hostels in the past, my travel buddy had never experienced a hostel before, and to be honest, he was pretty hesitant (and freaked out) about the idea. After experiencing India House, he is now a hostel advocate! Thank you India House for being the highlight of our amazing trip to NOLA.

Message: My boyfriend, our buddy, and myself spent the night at India House in February of 2012, and even though our stay was short lived, we still had a great time there. I would absolutely love it if I could come back and get another experience! The atmosphere is so relaxed and funky and everybody we came into contact with was more than friendly! Great people, great place, great location, great city!

Message: Stayed here over my spring break with 7 other friends and it was a blast. This was the first time I stayed in a hostel and it definitely makes me want to stay at hostels in the future. The amenities are great, nice staff, and fun environment. You also get to meet cool new people. I definitely recommend staying here.

Message: I lived here in the summer of 95 driving the airport cab, lived in the back apartments with Mel and Erica and the crew. Time of my life! What ever happen to everyone? Did Sid and Nancy grow up to devour us all?!? Anyhow, lots of fond memories and I'll be sure to pop my head in someday, one day.

Message: I went to the India House in Feb 2002 along with a friend. We had a great time. The people we roomed with were fun & outgoing. Many long party nights, lol. However, the BEST part of the trip was when I met my future husband. (He stayed at the house too.) We married in 2005 & have two children. I came across some pics and had to see if the house was still standing. Maybe a family trip to new orleans in the future.

Message: I just discovered some photos of India house from when I stayed there 11 years ago. It prompted me to see if it was still 'alive and well'. So so pleased that it looks as thriving as ever. My friend and I had the BEST time there and fortuitously were put in a room with 4 really fun guys who were there for mardi gras/spring break, we got on like a house on fire. Definitely going to have to go back again, although I honestly don't think you could top last time. Wow, I feel nostalgic. India house is amazing!

Message: My friend and I had a great stay at India House this past weekend. We were in NO to visit with friends, but were having a hard time deciding which hostel to stay at. This was our first hostel experience and we were so happy we chose to stay here. The house has a funky vintage store meets adult summer camp vibe. Lots of communal space and chances to meet cool people. Would love to stay again!

Message: Wow!
I stayed at India House back in 92/93 for about 6 months. It's some of the best memories Ive had while in the US or any other time for that matter!
I used to be the handyman fixing stuff around the place.
Still remember the flaming daiquiri drinks on party night and loosing my eyebrows!
Still remember Bob! Well that was her nickname. She was dating Arron..or Mark? :) she was from Liverpool.
I would live to contact or hear from anyone from that time. By far the best hostel I've stayed at period!!
Will be back there again sooner rather than later!
Love the place!
