Was there in 95' and now coming back in 2010. I cant wait, just like most, I.H. holds a special place in my heart, 15 years on and memories of my time there are so fresh and seeing the website again has just made those memories even stronger. I like what you have done with the place and am counting the days. Cant wait to see Rooster and Sue again, I played on stage with him at their bar down Bourbon. Definately be staying at India House, great place, great people. Bringing some mates as well. India House you are a legend.

Message: Op aanraden van een vriend tijdens het Jazz Fest 2010 11 dagen in deze Hostel geweest. Voor mij was het een openbaring. Super gezellige en losse sfeer. Weing regels! Houdt wel in dat het er op allerlei fronten losjes aan toe gaat. Muziek maken, Gezellige borrels en veel contacten. Een bijzondere warme en open sfeer. Mij sprak dat erg aan. John, een van de eigenaren is hollands, altijd handig. Kortom een absolute aanrader voor tollerante mensen.

Ik zal zeker terug komen en mis het India House nu al.

Message: Only been back in cold England for a day and already missing the lovely India House (thou have fabulous tans to show off). Great hostel, great staff, great other guests and great atmosphere - felt like home!

Wish we could have stayed there with you guys even longer, defo the best hostel we have stayed in.

Thanks for the great holiday - would recommend India House to anyone - plus best red beans and rice in the whole of New Orleans!

Message: 5 stars all the way. This place really has an amazing heart. The staff is soooo friendly, even when our friend bjorn almost died in the reception area. Great vibe, amazing atmosphere, cant get a better location. The communal aspect is really something, everyone that stays there is respectful, kind, and cooool. Excellent accomadations for any weary backpakcers looking to unwind and have a great time in New Orleans! BJORN IS IN THE DORM 2010!

Message: I've only been gone a day, but i miss the house already. I celebrated my 21st birthday with ya'll this weekend. I had my first legal beer at midnight, at the kitchen table, while the most amazing group of strangers sang "happy birthday" and toasted to me. I left the house with some amazing memories and a new group of friends. By far the best time of my life.
